HI, after reading a lot, i found a post that advised to upgrade to 4.0 before to softmod.
( hxxp://www.pothsprojects.com/viewtopic.php?t=30 )
I followed the recipe, downloaded the .rar, unrar it to my sd card
Now that i have 4.0, i go "data management">>"channels">>"SD card" but everything is empty
Am i doing something wrong?
I can not go on.

It looks like i am alone here
For someone else reading this thread, it looks like 4.0 is the easiest way to softmod.
With 4.0 there is no need to have Zelda twilight

I am not 100% sure.
I have homebrew installed.
I am playing with a nice utility called homebrew browser, that allows me to browse Homebrew apps from internet and download/install directly in my wii without need of a computer.
But i can not install cios needed for the launcher.
I am stuck there.
I appreciate any help

Did you read the guide in the link I posted?
There is another link in there for 4.0 users linking to a guide

Search for a downgrader. Follow the tuts for it. If I remember how exactly I did mine I will post an update. It is easy enough to softmod with 4.0, thats what I had when I modded mine, but you can't run a whole lot with it, so its best to downgrade to 3.2.

The link that i found in your link( yafaze) is exactly the same as prettyboo (the one i refered in my second post)
Now i realized that there is a "downgrading" step that i have not done
I will try to do it right now

I think that i am ok now.
I tried again hxxp://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/25/735325 but my sd showed empty.
copied dol files to another sd with a boot.dol that worked, and nothing happened again. Also, i tried to run them through HBC, but nothing.
Finally, i created 2 directories, copied the dol files in each directory, renamed to boot.dol and it started to progress.
Now i have HBC (i do not know if it is different that the one that i had before) and Backuplauncher.
I have no backups to test, but i tried changing the language of an original game, and when it loaded, first shower "no sd", and them menu in spanish (exactly as i selected)
I am really new in this.
Here everyone speaks about cios35 36 etc.
How can i know the status of my machine? What do i have installed?
Thank you all

There is really just cIOS36 (originally 37)
cIOS36 is a custom IOS, basically a bootleg IOS36.
You might hear about IOS249, IOS249 is basically an address that cIOS36 gets installed to. You won't have both IOS249 and cIOS36
It has different revisions the latest of which is revision 10.
You can see where it comes from here:
http://www.teknoconsolas.es/blogs/waninkoko?page=1
Where it says Custom IOS36 rev 10 (¡ACTUALIZADO!)
To know which cIOS you have, the easiest way is just to remember which one you put on there :)
Or just install the latest version.
Or you use the nand title lister with which you will have to catch it before it goes off the screen.
You can use Anytitledeleter but you shouldn't delete anything.
Anytitledelter will just show if you have IOS249 but it won't tell you which revision you have.
The mod of Waninkoko's USB Loader Coverfloader will tell you which cIOS you have installed when you hold either 1 or 2 (can't remember which)
I'm sure there are other ways too.
(I probably skipped the easiest way but it isn't coming to me right now)
:)
Finally again about cIOS36.
If someone says cios-fix, they are likely talking about cIOS36
If someone says cios, they are likely talking about the same cIOS36
If someone says cios rev9, they are likely talking about the same cIOS36
If someone says cios rev10, they are likely talking about the same cIOS36
IF someone says IOS249, they are likely talking about the same cIOS36
