Okay, to anyone else interested in converting their Wii's or maybe you have but haven't managed to get your Wiikey to work, here's what you do.

First off, if you want to change your wii, get the AnyRegion Changer to be used with the homebrew channel. go to the lower part where it lists your region and says 3.2 and change it to whatever region you would prefer your wii to be. The update is fairly long, so be patient, it's completely changing everything.

Okay, now your wii is good as new, but backups no longer seem to be recognized when you pop the disks in and this is because the wiikey software you have installed is for your prior region!

I found this, and although the wiikey link no longer works, the rapidshare one does. download and install this disk (for your new region), then do the same with 1.9s and you'll be good to go, your wiikey will be functional again, and everything should be perfect :)
