I have a PAL NZ wii...updated to latest nintendo update and followed the guide. It all worked as far as the installs. Thanks!!
But actually playing a USB game or using backup launcher fails.
USB launcher I see the iso and go to play and it sits on black screen. I have to reboot the wii. I tried a couple iso with the same results.
Backup Launcher, I can't hit b to reboot with hooks (it fails loading menu) and just launching a game causes "Exception" and does a big code dump and freezes on a screen of junk...
I downgraded to rev12 but still all the same...
Any ideas??

There is a setting called "quickboot". Turn it off.

I followed the guild all the way up to the further steps and I'm having issues using the backup launcher. I burned a 4.3GB ISO of Punch Out! to a Sony DVD-R at 1x speed using ImgBurn. When I go to launch the game it gives me a blue screen that says Error #002. If anyone help that would be great. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to modding.

Great Guide Thanks!! Quick question. Do I need to follow the "Extra Steps" and install "IOS60Patch" and "cIOS38_rev12"? I haven't completed those extra steps but I can launch WiiGator Gamma and I can play back-up games. What is the purpose of the IOS60Patch and CIOS38_rev12 and do I need to follow those steps? I don't plan on using GameCube games nor the USB launcher. Thanks

Thanks for the guide, I followed it down to a tee, however I'm having problems launching my backups. It's coming up with error 324. I have researched a little, and according to many sources it's a media fault. I was using HP DVD+R discs, so what do you recommend?
Also, do I need to keep my memory card in there?
Thanks again.

Install cMIOS to get the GC games working in WiiGator (GC games are not USB Loader compatible).

Did this whole procedure and it worked...
Downloaded a game and burned it using a Memorex DVD+R and the program 'Imgburn' on auto speed. Put it in the wii and then the opening intro played (where the guys says "mad world"), then I clicked start and said it could not read it.You know when you put a game into the Wii and the Disc Channel shows a short opening sequence for the game, then you must click 'Start'? Well, I've burnt two different games, and it shows that game's sequence, but when I hit start it just says that there was an error and to eject game, turn off the power and check the manual.
So, I burned it again at half the speed of the disk (8x speed)and still no luck. My friend told me Memorex isn't good for burning console games to get Verbatim DVD-R discs. I bought them, burned at 2x speed and still got the same thing.
I'm stumped, the only thing I can think of is that didn't install it right? I'm thinking of doing the installation again.. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Isn't that feature for portable hard drives only?

no mate -its standard.
once installed the homebrew and the backup launcher channel, insert the game and then load up the launcher. select to load the game and it should work. im not sure if backups load off the regular launcher without a modchip - i have one so not tested it.
im guessing this is why the game will not boot.
