I didn't want to hijack the other thread regarding this topic, so just a quick question.

How important is the verification when running a game through ABGX360?

If I remember correctly when I read the tutorials, it stated "Yellow is ok, red is bad". So I've burnt games that didn't verify, because it wasn't red, it was yellow.

Now, am I putting myself at a much greater risk of getting banned by playing games that didn't verify? Or am I ok ban wise because nothing came back red?

If someone could briefly explain the importance of verification, would greatly appreciate!

its verify important if you dont want your console to be banned from xbox live ...

i dunno what you mean by red/yellow etc... the only thing that matters is that the ISO verifies COMPLETELY using autofix level 3 ...

if it doesn't then the stealthiness of the ISO is probably lacking ... leading to an increased risk you will be detected as using a modified console and subsequently get banned...

Yah sorry to not be clear, what I meant by yellow and red is in regards to the message abgx gives after its done it check. From what I remember from the tutorial, the messages agbx gives after each check should be only in green and yellow, if the message is red, then that's bad. That's what I meant by yellow and red. And yah, I've done every game using autofix 3, but some games still can't be verified? A little confused in that regard....

if they can't be verified you should try to find another ISO... perhaps from a different release group...

or it could be because the game is too new and hasn't been released publicly ... if you want to be safe you shouldn't be playing those before release anyways...

if the game isn't new and the ISO still doesn't 100% completely verify its not worth the risk of playing it... find another iso...

hmm nice info, appreciate it...I wonder if i'm already screwed because i've played a few non-verified games offline and doesn't the console keep that data and send it to M$?...

So your also saying then, that you can have autofix level 3 on and games can still go un-verified?

Thanks for the help man.

if ABGX can't repair the ISO cause the stealth is unverified then yes it won't complete and you should see a message to that affect... probably what you were referring to as "yellow" before... you should prob re-burn any of your "yellow" games with verified ISO's... 100% fully verified using autofix level 3

Yeah.

Verification can only happen once a legit retail rip of that particular game is in the abgx360 online database (or local stealth files folder in the case of older games). Your ISO is then compared with details from the one in the database. If everything matches it passes verification. If it doesn't, it'll get autofixed (if possible - some things, such as AnyDVD corruption, cannot be autofixed by abgx360).

An ISO may pass the stealth check, but fail verification - that obviously happens a lot. That doesn't mean that the ISO is necessarily OK, because autofixing is quite a regular occurrence, so to be safe (or safer anyway) you should wait until games pass the steatlh check and verification.

A list of games that should verify can be found here, with newer releases at the bottom of the list: -

Sorry just a bit confused, in the first paragraph you said it'll get autofixed and implied that autofix will take care of everything, other than AnyDVD..But then in the next paragraph you implied autofixing doesn't actually fix anything?

Just to be clear, what you're saying is, at the end of the day, regardless of anything autofix does, to be safe make sure the stealth check passes and the verification check passes?

Also, I can check all the games i've already burnt by putting it in my computer dvd drive and pointing abgx to the dvd right?

Haha,I didn't mean to imply that. What I said was that often games pass the stealth check but fail verification (because they're not in the database yet), but that doesn't mean that they're OK (as shown by the number of games that need autofixing once they're in the database). I was trying to say that you shouldn't rely on the stealth check alone. You need to wait for the game to pass both the stealth check and verification to be the safest you can be when using backups.

And yes, you can check games from disc with abgx360 by selecting "Burned DVD" from the Input drop-down list. If a game needs fixing, you can create an image of the disc with ImgBurn and then run that through abgx360 to fix it, then burn the fixed ISO.
