buying 360 for a friend and found one thats already flashed but its prob out of date because the kid says he didnt flash it someone else did and doesnt know CFW version. so do i need to use this tool to get key off of liteon drive still or will jungle flashed be able to read it as long as it already been flashed?

also on my personal 360 i dont know if i have 1.5 or 1.51, pretty sure 1.51 but if i play these new wave 3 games with it just not play on 1.5 or will it hurt it in some way?

since it's already been flashed, no need for the probe. Just use JF and do it like another other drive.
