In Ch*#us land in Dublin and am lucky not to have been affected by the n3 rollout (yet) - everything has worked fine, up till now. Basically have the Box PVR upstairs, the Box Super downstairs - downstairs unit working fine - all channels. A few days ago, some of the lesser channels went missing from PVR unit upstairs - this has happened before, but not usually a big deal - normally solved with reset, auto scan etc. This time though, things went awry - scan looked normal - all channels picked up, full signal, but only picture with a few of the channels( rte1, sellotanta, euronws). All looks normal (EPG, on-screen channel info, signal strength etc) but no picture. C@des are good (same as in the working unit downstairs), re-installed firmware (3.105), re-scanned numerous times (Auto update on) but no luck.Only thing of note is during scan, as the chnls are found, some chnl names are in yellow text, some in white text - white text chnls are the ones which are working, others are not. No "bad or scrambled channel" msg or anything like that - just a blank screen.
Tried this post on another starview thread but no response - hope someone can assist - thnks

the channels you listed aren't encrypted, it sounds like you dont have EMU on.

tried scanning with various settings with no luck - channels are being picked up but not displaying. I agree it looks like EMU issue but it is definately on - access to it on the PVR is thru parental control/info+2007/Auto update: On.

All worked perfectly up till now - the mystery continues.....

Yep. Have 2 starview boxes. The box super usb is not working. Nagra is perfect, codes perfect. Same as the old box which is working perfectly but channels locked out. I suppose we will have to wait for new software update. Using verison 1.9 (Ireland)

Scartboy. You'd be wasting your money. Its a firmware problem. My starview4 went down on the 22nd and came back 2 days later. Changed nothing. Went down again the other night. My older box is perfect. Same codes ....etc. Updated my software to the latest version 1.9 and no joy....so sit back and keep looking at the threads.
