i wonder is anybody else having problems with scrambled chnls on k/vw mine started going on tues 21\05\09 and by the w/end gone completly. i tryed factory reset and scanned and now iv lost the whole listing of chnnls ,only 3 or 4 coming in. i dident get a manual guide so i dont know if im doing it right. any help would be very much appreciated.

hi my friend you never said where your from very important,as far as i know the kryptview is fine in ireland(and as all other boxes have failed long since)i would have thought we would have heard ,even if your box is in the uk going by ireland i would say check your connections and ask your neighbours if they have a signal(as kryptview has been working fine since noah was a boy)that said im in ireland not uk ,so maybe they found a way to block them.that said i would check my emu is on.good luck my friend.

there still working fine in Ireland and there is no EMU on that box so no way to switch it on or off

i suggest she do a full default on the box and download the tutorial on the bottom of my post and then follow it NO SPLITTERS ON YOUR INCOMING CABLE VERY IMPORTANT WHEN SCANNING

thanks for your reply piopat, i followed fergusrb tutorial but my k/v told me this download is not requested. its already there so it must be my cable, it just puzzled me because it worked great since i installed in march and i dident change or touch any thing. thanks anyway.

did you turn the box off at the back before you started the download when you press the download then you turn the box on at the back only

what operating system are you using xp or vista ??

what cables did you get and from where ??

did you have all the channels on your box and when did you get it what was the date of the firmware you last put on the box ???????

hi fergusrb dident know u were online. yea igot the cables with box and everything came up just as in the tutorial followed all the instructions.it just said download not requested and im useing xp.

no i dont think ther is a switch at the back i switched off at the mains pressed download and turned on again as instructed.

checked just now no on off switch at back . its arnet 700c dont no if that makes any difference.

that exactly what i did twice, same answer from box , my system info is k/v pv 2.2,00 v1.2.0

ok did you check in the device manager on your pc to see which comport is assigned to your cable comport ??

it has to be the same on the pc as the loader one ??

it could be just a flty box. work perfect for a couple a monts . have an idea it might have been recon from uk, came with just cardboard packaging no user manual just the rs cable.

if the date on the firmware is not the 19/3/09 it wont work in Ireland as its not got the correct firmware on it look at the date on the system info and you will know then

yep thats the correct date i kopped that earlier on thats why it wasent requested.ill try one or 2 mor things excuse the irish . good on ya ,will be in touch.

ok all you have to do now is factory default

then select bottom option on easy installation auto scan then if you on ntl just press the green button only nothing else

then next screen select legacy press ok then let the box do the rest

the firmware is there, tryed a different nxl point and a new cable into rf, scanned on legasy but no joy .so pissed off i orded a a new box arnet evoloution, will this come already loaded ?

if you find out which comport your cable is on you can then put that on the loader the number you need to check in the device manager
