XBOX DIED BUT NO RED LIGHTS NO VIDEO STILL GOT AUDIO ?

Hi my xbox has just died, the screen went a bit funny and now i cant get a video signal at all. There is no red lights or anything and the audio is ok, is there anything I can do or should I just replace the console ??

its a component one, have had it plugged in with vga cable, have since tried a different cable with scart though and no go, doesnt seem good :(

That's the symptoms of a soon to be RROD or E74 error. Just send it back to MS to get it replaced.

If it gets the E74 error then they will replace/fix it for free regardless of the warranty status I believe.

cheers for the info guys but still wouldnt be covered, i suppose only options are poss x clamp fix ? or new unit.

and why wouldnt it be covered? claim that the video went out, you rebooted it, it showed the e74 error and send it in.

its flashed with talismoon fans, i dont think that will fare well with ms will it ?

put your old fan back in, would take like 5 minutes, and who cares if its flashed. many many people have sent flashed consoles in and received them back repaired.
