Is this drive able to be flashed? I read HERE that the drive is recognized on the PC with the use of drivers and the drive is a Toshiba HD-DVD OEM drive. any mods to make it rip games?

AFAIK it is not possible to rip games using this drive, however you can install the drivers on your pc and use it to watch hd-dvds on your computer..
