hi guys im in the uk and my mate wants me to put homebrew channel on his wii its a us one not uk and its got 3.1u if i connect it to net will it update to 4u with me being in uk or will it try and update to 4e and brick it this might be a dumb question but i just dont want to brick it or can i use anything else to install hbc

The homebrew channel doesn't come from connecting the Wii to the internet, it comes from here: http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/

i already have tho homebrew software but how do i put it on i dont have a us zelda game to install it

You can use bannerbomb: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Bannerbomb

The Wii executable that it is taking about in step 3 would be your homebrew channel dol (renamed to boot.dol) or if you are using the hackmii installer, installer.elf renamed to boot.elf

read the guide, not sure of updating a Wii on a different location. Best bet is call Nintendo.

this is for 4.0 hack.
