yes fergusrb i have the free channels just readin about the n2 problem on other threads so am a little more up to date with the situation ty for ur help

I have exactly the same problem. 2 starviews. Starview 4 which is not working and the older model which is perfect. Running firmware version 1.9 and tried everything......no joy. Any ideas????

the only boxes that run the version 1.09 is the super usb 4 box no other box will run that
so what other box are you on about ??? older model running 1.09 ???

Think the OP means his older Starview 1.2 or 3 is working Ferg and he has 1.09 on the SV4 which is not, as we know it won't due to the firmware being compromised, hope your well mate.:)

Dont work in Ireland that is why the 1.09 was brought out for both areas and some areas in uk the 1.07 will not work either

hi i have the same problem my starview usb has lost all channels on c***us but my other box sv2 is fine and as ferg said its a firmware problem and no amount of scanning etc will sort it believe me i tried.dont do as cathaldub said "bin it"!! i popped mine on fleabay and sold it within the hour to the uk,for the time being kryptview are the way to go but how long they will last well who knows.

I thought it was a SV3 as said int he 1st post and the title, you'll be very lucky to sell any box on ebay at the moment, all auctions are getting pulled within hours of them being posted

Ok Guys- the fix is out. Version 1.10 for starview 4 sorts out the problem. Easy to install and all channels working.

heya lads, is this fix for the sv4 usb for real. if so can someone pm me please. its not for me i have the sv3 but i was a bit of a samaritan when the sv4 boom kicked in and got them for friends and family and now theyre wrecking my head looking for info. much appreciated lads

its the real deal download the file put it on to usb. stick into the box down to usb press ok thats about it file and other info is here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/776729

sounds a bit too complicated for me mate. i relayed this info to the bloke i bought them off and he is going to do it for me for 20 euro! seems easier lol

apparently he had it yesterday. as i said i dont have one, i have sv3 so im just gonna pass his info onto the ones i got them for. no more running around for me when my box is the one thats beyond repair lol.

i see but its really simple peats have 2 gig memory stick for 10 euro and thats all u need put it in your pocket drop around to people and charge them 10 everybodys happy
