HI,
I have a Xbox with 2 red lights secondary code 0011, CPU overheating.

I get the 2 light as soon as the xbox is turned on so, its not got time to overheat... any ideas?

Ship her in to xbox. Go to xbox.com and you will figure out how it walks you through it pretty well.

One second is plenty of time to overheat, heatsink probably isn't making a good connection. I'll agree with the others, send it in to MS, let them deal with it.

date on back of xbox is 17/05/2006, so they wouldn't fix it?

It all depends on when it was bought. That was when it was made, but the warranty is from date of purchase.

Nice your warranty is 3 years long. So it ends 17/05/2009 (just about 12 days ago)

Did you buy the xbox new? Happen to still have a receipt? If so your warranty will be from date of purchase, if you don't have proof of purchase, it will be the manufacture date on the back.

just call in and have then register it, if they dont do it at first, hang up call back until you get someone that will, eventually apu will register it for you, regardless if you were the first person that bought it.
