i tried flashing my toshiba samsung ms28, using iprep. I made the bootable usb, and followed the directions carefully. here is the problem. I flashed the drive and like i said i followed the directions carefully and when the flashing process was finished i tried to play a backup, and this is what happens. when the drive reads the disk the screen goes black then there is a flicker of a blue screen and then i get the white screen with the black writing that says To play this disk put it in a xbox 360 console. what did i wrong. is this drive bricked. any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

Oops. Sounds like you havent got the right key flashed to your drive. I've never flashed a Sammy before but I've flashed loads of the others and all of them require the Ixtreme fw to be spoofed with your orig key. If you've used JF to do this its not the end of the world as it automaticly saves a KEY file.
You need to load this in jungle flasher and spoof to the Ixtreme FW. Then update drive with the FW. If you didn't save your key then I guess you have a 360 shaped DVD player. : )

Sorry, didn't read the IPREP bit. Not sure if any of the other programs back up the original key or not. Someone else will know. Good luck

Iprep should save the key automatically. But then again, it automatically make the fw for you. Are you sure you used the right Iextreme firmware? Type everything the on-screen instructions tell you? I'd use JF if you can, easier to verify and take time between steps to make sure everything is right.
