Backup Launcher hangs (does nothing)

I've used the wiigator 0.3g launcher for a few months now. I think somewhere along the lines of installing the GC backup launcher screwed things up?
I had 3.4U on my system and I got fedup wih the loader not working, I figured my IOS was messed up, so i wanted to start fresh per se. So I followed the New and Improved guide to installing HBC channel again after updating to 4.0.
Anyway, I'm still stuck, my loader programs are stuck with the loader's logo on top and a Gecko icon in the bottom left. No options in the middle where I would goto activate ocarina cheats or any options to even start the disc. (I am trying to load ocarina cheats in Brawl so i can play with custom characters)
I've tried reinstalling older cios rev7 again, because thats where I was at and my loader would work then. I've been at it for 5 hours now... Someone help me before i go crazy D:

Toying with it more, my backups no longer load with it. Its like the program crashes
