I've been interested in adding a window to an extra OEM case for a few weeks now. Has anyone ever used this tool produced by Talismoon to mod their console?

If so, what were the results? I know some may prefer using a Dremel or similar brand rotary cutting tool but are there any advantages to using this Talismoon one?

They claim:

- Specifically designed for the plastic of the xbox 360
- No power needed, use it under any conditions
- Hand tool reduces chance of mistakes common to power tools
- Easier clean up: Does not create dust or plastic powder
- Greatly reduced risk of flying chips of plastic

Looking at it, I can't figure out how you would use it ... doesn't look very user friendly.

Never used such tools. With shipping, it's probably better to get a Dremel tool. Dremel will do everything you can imagine for you.

I noticed you created that thread almost a year ago ... after all this time, has it ever RROD'ed on you with all those fan modifications?

Thanks for sharing, BurningAs.

yea just go with the dremel. when i did both of mine, thats what i used for the most part. for the straight edges on one of them, i used a cement board knife as it was easier to drag in straight lines than keeping the dremel going where i wanted it to, but for the curves and all the dremel worked wonders. also i used a little diamond tipped bit that would burn right through the plastic and didnt leave any rough edges.
