Just wanted to report in my findings today. I thought I was doomed, but apparently Wave3 games do work with Xtreme 5.3. Just played Viruta Tennis 09 on this 5.3 baby: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/676729
This is for those of you who don't use LIVE what so ever, or who don't have internet... You really don't need iXtreme. With 5.3 you can set drive speeds, play all games, stealth patched or not, wave3... even Xbox1 games on DVD5!
Upgrade to NXE here http://download.microsoft.com/download/D...Fall08_7363.zip
Update, then play wave 3. Don't directly go form Pre NXE to NXE without USB update.

right on dude, glad you are still rocking the old stuff. however i believe its playing those games since its not stealth FW and it will boot anything as long as it has the SS files if im not mistaken.
on a second note, the original xbox games on a dvd-5 only works for samsung drives i think though.
ps. almost done taking over the entire first page, hahaha.

Glad to here that Xtreme 5.3 will boot wave 3. Only issue is no support for BenQ or Lite-ON though, since it is old firmware.

Recently my old samsung drive 360 got rrod, I didnt use much of xbox live so it was running all games.Recently i received different 360 with Benq drive, i thought they would send same one my mistake.I have some old games which i think and non stealth.IS there any firmware for Lite on that doesnt need stealth check and stuff.I thought xtreme 5.3 is also available on Lite on.Any suggestions.thx and I am not sure I have Benq or Lite on as i checked wires and they look white.

Not sure, the 5.3 pack I have says Samsung only. I know for fact Lite-On drives came after 5.3

I know its not directly related, apologies for this. I have a Samsung MS25, and im up for playing xbox 1 games on my 360. Can anyone tell me does iextreme 1.6 allow you to play xbox 1 games with its "one shot" boot mode? If so will DVD5's work?

I know for fact on FW to support DVD5 is 5.3.
