Thanks in advanced I have a hitachi 47d drive Flashed with Ixtreme 1.51 and I have a lil over 20 backups and none of them will play. It will play original 360 games dvds just fine When I try a Back up it gives no error codes no dirty disk error, no mixed media, no dvd disk with back up in, no please insert xbox360 game no nothing. it just trys to read spinning and spinning on dashboard it says reading but then after about 2 mins on the dashboard it says open disk tray like there was no Dvd/cd in the drive at all. I am so Stumped right now my head hurts LOL All backups verified with abgx flashed drive with Jungleflasher Verified with a raw dump of drive has 1.51 on it tried returning to stock and reflashing finished with no problems but the Back ups still not workin lol I am stumped

I have a flashed drive but can't use it LOL Please help and Thanks in advanced once again.

ok first i would like say that hitachi drives no matter what version are shit they all have disc read problems especially with backups. now you did not state what brand of media you are using that has a great deal to do with dirty disc and open tray errors i would recommend not using anything but verbatim mi2 singnapore made discs they are renowned for being the best backup disc. If that still does not fix your issue then you will probably need to replace your laser or drive. i would probobly just replace your drive with a sammy or a benq. benq's are much quiter than sammys though. just spoof it as a hitachi and you will be laughing.also i would recommend buying a 120gig hard drive if you can afford it. that way you can save all the games to the hard drive and save the wear and tear on your laser

Wouldn't replace your drives just yet. Agree you have to use decent media though. I have had this issue myself with 2 Hitachi drives (a 46 & 47). I fixed by doing a POT Calibration,

Let us know if this fixes it.

A 25 pack of Verbs for $24? Where? Plus, I've only seen 3-10-20 and 50 packs of Verbs DL.
