1. Do my steps look correct?
2. Does ABGX v1.0.1 still need the updated .ini file?
3. When using JungleFlasher.0.1.62.Beta, do you still need the 360 DVD ROM Drive to be half open?
4. Is there any kind of performance difference between Internal & External DL DVD Burners?

I would try using the 1.6 modification disk, it pretty much walks you through the flash as you do it, i think abgx 1.01 already has the updated ini file. Not sure about tray half open on sammy drives. I use the Pioneer 215d drive for all my backups and burn with clonecd!!

I don't know if the 360 Modification USB Drive v1.6 is honestly easier than jungleflasher.
I am hesitant to use it because I have not been able to find any videos or online tutorials for using it (I know a tutorial/instructions are included with the file, but that doesn't show you anything when it comes to the DOS part).

If you look up leerage on this site he has a great tut in his sig of how to use jf, dont forget you will also have to install portIO. Are you using a laptop or pc?

PC, I looked up the 360 Modification USB Drive v1.6 and one person posted it was easy to flash 4 samsung ms25s in 10 minutes.
So if Jungleflasher doesn't work for me, I'll use that.

We opened it up and hooked it up to the computer.
I opened Jungleflasher and it isn't detecting the drive, is it ok to have the system on with the drive tray closed?
EDIT
We are worried now because when we turn it on it doesn't boot, 3 red lights flash.
I feel like complete crap because I think we killed it.
I think it might have gotten static shocked or something.
We turned it on once and it tried to boot but froze while doing the opening 360 logo.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS?!

Did you ground the 360 to your computer Case? If not you may have shorted out your System. Make sure the system was put back the correct way. also get the Error code on from the system to say what the exact issue is.

We didn't ground it, which is why I assume its a static shock problem.
I am unable to retrieve an error code because the system cannot boot anymore, I get "No Signal" on the TV and 3 flashing red lights on the 360 system.

I know there is a way to get the codes with out having to get video. Also make sure that your Video is hooked in correctly and your on the right input channel. (I would think that you are but doesnt hurt to check ya know?)

Weird ive opened dozens of boxes and not had any static issues... did you do something stupid like put in on a carpet or mat or other cloth??
Also did you take out the power cable for the dvd drive??
When you turn the console on does the power brick turn green??
Check what the secondary erorr code is, if you dont know how

Thanks for the guide and help. I just used the method and got:
Lights flashing: 4142
Error Code: 0102
I read on a web site error code 0102 is:
0102 unknown error - literally means the console does not know what is wrong. possibly a short or cold solder joint somewhere. So far there is 1 major theory for what causes most of these errors is that the Ram, CPU, or GPU are not soldered properly to the mother board This can be solved by re-Heating the chips DO NOT attempt this if your console is still under warranty. If your console is still under warranty return it to the store where it was purchased or call MS to have it replaced.

Since we are all doubtful we can fix it, and we believe all fixes to be temporary, we are just going to wait until we can buy a new one.
I'm not sure if we will try to flash it again. I could never get Jungleflasher to recognize the drive. If I can still flash the DVD ROM Drive with JF while the system is RROD, I want to do it!
Have people had success opening the system and sending it to Microsoft for repair?

If it's under warranty then send it to ms, aslong as the warranty sticker is intact, if not buy one off ebay.
