As has been posted before N*L/Ch**us visited the dunshaughlin area a few weeks ago & made some changes to the aerials in the area, since then I gather that the eurovox TX & other terestreial boxes stopped working,..one poster here stated that he borrowed a cable box either a starview or the box from a cable area & all channels became available again without having to do a scan,..now I have tried a number of cable boxes at this stage with no success, the were the eurovox 1000sl,dreambox 500c & THE BOX, I tried autoscan & manual scans on known CH**us & N*L freqs using SR of 6887 & 6875 but all I am getting is RTE1 on 300mhz & that has very bad pixelation & complete drop outs,.....anyone have anything else I can try ???

yes,...everything,. I'm an old hand at these boxes but this is a tough one,...it's a small apartment block with one antenna feeding 10 locations with the power invertor & distribution amp located in the attic, the eurovox TX & 500T worked fine until the CC made the changes in the area a few weeks ago.

if u can talk to ur friend that had the working box to get frequency of channels,u might have to manually scan in channels.

alraady done that, no luck,...the other poster stated that he also needed to turn the end of the probe coming from the antenna to the vertical position before his cable box worked, that leads me to belive he has his own antenna setup & not a offical CH**us installation like the one I'm dealing with,..what I realy need is for someone with an offical installation in the area who has sorted this out.

Is this a upc aerial or your own install. The first valid frequency should be 258mhz.
Btw. it looks like the upc engineers exchanged boxes and moved the aerials for subscribers to point now at a ex N*l mmds transmitter and nomore at a ex ch*rus transmitter.
