Hi,

So I am totally new to burning my own games.

My 360 is moded with the stealth firmware..

I download games using newsgroups and got a .DVD abd a .ISO file.

I am using Xbox Backup Creator and when I go to load the ISO and start burning, I get a message saying: "stealth check failed" do you want to continue?

Does this mean that this game is no pacthed and will not be playable on my 360?

Will it work anyways? if not, how do I patch it?

I know that I need the SS file to merge it using Xbox 360 ss Merger, but I cant seem to find this SS file anywhere.

Does anyone have any insight?

PS: I have read the forum and all the threads regarding this but there is is just s much info and alot of times the information is contradictory.

thanks!

run the ISO through Abgx360 on level 3 autofix and see if it works after that.

its the latest stealth one..

I usually buy my games already burned from someone but I am trying to do it myself.

Could it be because I didnt use Verbatim disks? I used Fujifilm?

So does this check done with abgx360 mean that this ISO file is already patched and good to go or does it need anythig else?

it might be because of the disc quality. If everything checks out in abgx360 that should mean its good to go.

All I do is run the ISO through abgx360 (with autofix set to level 3) and if everything checks out, I burn the file using ImgBurn. Use the .DVD file (abgx360 will create one if it doesn't exist) to launch ImgBurn and that sets the layer break information.

Possible reasons for games not working are out of date firmware that doesn't support the latest wave 3 titles, a faulty DVD drive or console, or bad burns which could be down to using poor quality media and/or your burner having out of date firmware.

What I would do if I was you is first check to see if there's a firmware update for your burner. Then fire up ImgBurn and check the "Verify" box and burn a game. ImgBurn will then compare the burned disc with the ISO on your hard drive to make sure it's OK. If it still doesn't work, try scanning the disc with Nero CD-DVD Speed so you can get a better idea of the burn quality, as there's no point in wasting discs if you're going to get coaster after coaster.

I just notived that I didnt set the drive to the one thats for my Xbox, could this be the issue?

I also read somewhere that the older firmware I should chage it to DVD-ROM, is that also a possibility?

Do you mean a firmware update for my actual drive or for software?

Where would I get this? and how do I know what I need?

A firmware update for your DVD writer. Usually you would download it from the support section of the manufacturer's website. Newer firmwares often improve burn quality, and they add/improve support for certain media types and dyes. It doesn't always cure the problem, but sometimes it cures burn problems 100%.

What is the make and model number of the writer?

So I ran ABGX and followed your guide.

According to ABGX the games is good, all green and blue saying everything passed. But when I load the ISO into Backup Creator and do the check there it fails a whole bunch of tests..and when I burn it doesnt work...already wasted 3 disks with it..

Any thoughts?

How about not using Backup Creator and use ImgBurn like my tutorial says to.
