Jungle Flasher not launching.

I'm attempting to reflash my Samsung MS-25 drive, and I'm using the exact same hardware as before. No changes in sata card or any real hardware whatsoever.

I've followed the instructions and I manually installed the PortIO32 driver, and I can see it in my Device Manager. I'm running Windows XP SP3, fyi. I've also made sure to install .Net Framework 3.5 just to be sure.

However everytime I click on that damned JungleFlasher.exe I get this error:

Title at top: JungleFlasher.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xb18(2840). Thread id=0xaa4 (2724)

Click OK to terminate the applcation.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.


Now somtimes the process id and thread id numbers change but its always the same damn error. What.net exe shows that I am indeed running 3.5 and I've checked in my device manager 17 times to find that Port IO device. Both show up properly. Using Version v0.1.62 Beta, but I've tried 1.51 and others. No clue what's going on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh and just to add, yes I have used compatibility mode. Windows 2000, 98, NT doesn't matter. Same thing.

Any help here would honestly be appreciated. I know this isn't the Jungle Flasher forum or anything but I just figured with all the knowledge here about 360 issues someone might have an answer. Thanks

the only thing I can think of is to either do a system restore back to when JungleFlasher worked or maybe its a registry error that is causing the problem.

Registry might be an issue, however Jungle Flasher never worked for me. This is my first time using it. However I can't think of how or what kind of registry error I would need to fix.

I looked your error message up on google and found this Link that suggests maybe a .dll file is missing and you should use a program called Depency Walkerto profile JungleFlasher and narrow down the problem.

So I went to the website information you gave me, and downloaded Dependency Walker. Good program but part of it is confusing as heck. Not sure what it means with:

Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

I don't see the file in reference it's trying to aim me towards. I'll attempt to look more into it, I do know I uninstalled all .net framework on my computer and just installed 2.0. That made it so at least I dont get the same error.... now I just get an generic error. Something to the point of, sorry we encountered an error and need to shut down. Microsoft style error, no detailed info. Just a close button. Maybe I'm on the right track? lol

Had the same msg when trying to run it from a network drive. Copied it locally and the problem disappeared. Might be a log/permission issue.
