ive read some where that your xbox 360 will overheat if you have it in the flat horizontal possition.
is this true?
i cant see why this would happen as the hot air is expelled out of the back of the xbox.
also does any one recon that it would be ok to have the xbox in the flat possiton and my lcd pc monitor on top of the xbox i recon i would be dicing with death on that one but im not sure so any advice would be great.
thanks a lot
kevin

well, I think you're idea is dumb. But, hey, if you want to do it, go for it.

I read somewhere that an engineer had said the 360 would be most cooled most efficiently when standing on its side. Since then, I have always done that.

need jtag help? Xbox 360 console repair? PM me or chat

The 360 has vent holes on each side, so when its laying horizontal heat will still rise and go out the holes.
but I heard laying the console horizontal you have less of a chance of scratching your discs because the you wont have to worry about the console falling over(I lost 2 discs this way)
