Help, i am just about to flash my hitachi 78 so everything is fine but in jungleflasher the port io is turned of i mean i cannot select it, but i installed the portio32 drivers before using the ck3 tool, so i tryed to install from jungle flasher and it says vista error on the cmd... install manually.

the drive is dumped using Win ApI wich i dont know if this is correct.
it also gave me the key.

Can i flash to ixtreme 1.51 using win api?

if you are using a via card with drivers installed use winapi if you have removed the drivers go to the dvdkey tab and click via only then go back to hitachi tab you should be able to select portio. If you are not using the via6421 this doesn't apply.

Thank you for your answer belenos.

this is what happends, i am using the via6421 card, i just bought it and it came with the driver cd (never used).

I was using jungleflasher 1.6 and so i could change the drive to mode b (78) then vista recognized the drive but i was unable to select portio only win api.

Then i changed to jungleflasher 1.55 ( i dont know if use it or not because i get an error before it starts) but it let me to select portio, 1.6 wont let me( in both cases via only selected)

but when i click on jf 1.5 using portio to dump the drive, i get an error message [...Ram Upload - Execute Failed], but when i use winapi it gives me the firmwire and the key ( never installed any driver just portio drivers manually)... maybe vista could do it online?

should i hack the firmwire using winapi without drivers installed?

winapi is a valid way of getting the drive key. did you make sure the hitachi was selected in the drop down menu next to the winapi option? If you have an extra drive you could spoof it first to be sure be I think you have the correct firmware. the key is not all 0's or 7's or 5A repeating is it? you DONT want this.

I would say you have the drivers installed and yes I have flashed with winapi before.
