ok disconnect the broadband then scan the box in do you have the connection in the correct place on your box also if you disconnect the broadband and your box is fine you prob need a booster on your cable

it says around 80-85 but when on the scan mode just before pressing enter it says 80-85 jumping back down to red but doesnt show that when pressing the info button its really bugging me, have tried a variavle attenuator but it still jumps but sorts it out on some channels

when you are on a scan that will happen as if there is nothing on some channels it will go red green is when it finds some channels

if the box is working at different houses its not a box problem

so try and get your cable provider to have a look at your cable tell them your tv is all fuzzy at times and shadows on the screen

make sure you take out that box before they come out you will be surprised the amount of people that forget

It could also be the cable from you wall housing going back to the cabinet. Ive got a m8 who used to work for NTL who does all my cabling and he always says that it can be down to water getting in the cable and such. Not always internal so best to ring Virgin and make up some bull story about it being very intermitant but a pain in the ass when it does. Say youre not happy and get them to sort it out. The last time this happened to one of my m8s the tech guy came out and done a new cable drop, changed all the f-connectors and attenuated the signal properly. Ultimately it sorted it out ;-)
