Hey, guys. I think I've found a way to make a truly and completely hacked Xbox that will make things as simple as setting up your normal Xbox was.
Quite simply, a company (I'm shooting for the company who made Action Replay, that's our best bet) will make it from scratch. Current 360s can't really run hacks, from what I hear. They have something on them to prevent it. A new 360 can stop that right in it's tracks.
The console will accept 360 games and play them normally, using a normal 360 controller (Fueled controllers available, which either mimic other console's controllers or have an original setup). Now, the catch: it comes with computer software which can be used to install Apps, Skins (the way things are shown - one would have games to the left and Apps to the right, etc.), Themes (like EvoX)... you get the idea.
Now, this would essentially be like an EvoX 2. It comes with some stuff already thrown in - Emulators in Games, Video in Apps, uGames in Games (see below), Internet in Apps.
uGames is something exclusive to the 360F - games made by users for users. This is like a public Marketplace for games made by people. It would make use of PayPal to add credit so you can pay for games.
It would be fully functional with Xbox LIVE, and Avatars (with some extra clothes thrown in - unable to be seen by normal 360 users, unfortunately).
So, here's what I'd like to do to get this up and running - show your support by replying to this thread. Do not reply if you're not supporting this. Doing so will throw off the post count - when I send this to the company who made the Action Replay, I want things t be exact. If you REALLY need to say something not supporting this, go ahead and do so - but let me know that you're not supporting this so I can add a count of how many aren't.

Ignore the part of my post which tells you only to reply if you support it - I can't edit posts so it wouldn't work.
Supported (obviously)!

I would like to see if it could be done. Might be hard to get the coding for avatars and Live.
I support it, why not?

Good luck getting past the hypervisor
You will have to flash the newer xbox's with the older kernel (if it's possible) if you even want a chance at getting past the hypervisor. You'll need either 4532 kernel or 4548 kernel (a kernel from 2006). Jan 9th 2007 is when they released 4552 kernel and made the hypervisor exploit useless.
I support the idea but it's going to take someone with vast knowledge to be successful.
Plus you should know that the 360 has even more security than you can imagine and even the controllers can't be copied (mad catz and logitech threw a fit over this).
Good luck, let's see you pull this off

I throw my support behind this as well even though by the time it happens the ps4 and xbox 720 will be well into their lifespan :)

i saw that video presentation a while back about the security inside the xbox 360... it seems rock solid, unbreakable... the only thing they forgot was to secure was the DVD drive...

Quite simply...
So you think it's quite simple, eh? How much serious thought have you put in to this? It can't be too much.
To start with, for this to be done the 360 itself would first have to be completely reverse engineered. If this were possible, why in the world would you need a third party console which would play 360 games?
Second, even if it were possible, what company in their right mind would steal and duplicate MS's ip to sell at a retail level as their own.
And lets not even get in to the cost of building such a machine.

1. A lot.
2. I'm pretty sure it could be done, and if it couldn't... okay, get something to decode the games first.
3. I'm not saying they would sell it at the normal level, I'm saying have the price close (it'd just be like they were making 360s, only with different software. Try to keep up.), and I'm aiming for Datel.

Umm, yeah... I've been here since day one.
I mean, your idea is nice and all, but it'll never happen. Period. With all the legal issues no company in their right mind would touch that idea.

That's not what I meant. I mean, try to grasp what I'm saying, not "Try to keep up, because I've been here a lot longer than you".
So, how would it be legal to make a game/memory card duo that let players mess with games however they wanted, adding new games and cheats to the list, etc.? Datel got away with doing it for the Action Replay (not the new one, the old one). How did EvoX get off scotch clean?

It's not going to happen. You are making yourself sound like you are 13 (Probably true). Listen to Behetrick, That's your best advise!

Don't take all this the wrong way. I'm not trying to start a pissing match. We're all good here 8) Like I said in my last post, your idea is nice.
But it's just a simple fact that it'll never happen. There's a big difference between software you can run on an Xbox (which has to be hacked to do) vs. some third party company developing a stand alone unit that'll run this software and 360 games.
Look at it this way... what do you think would happen is MS released a new version of the 360 which also played PS3 games. Sony would be in lawsuit heaven.
Your idea runs along the same lines. You just can't take someone's property and use it as you see fit.
