Something wrong with ck3 probe?

Hi, I'm having a problem dumping my lie-on drive key in jungle flasher and iprep when using my ck3 probe. I have a via 6421 sata card and the ck3 lite, and am able to dump the key of an already flashed lite-on using the "get key from ixtreme option" in jungle flasher but i cannot dump a key from a virgin lite-on drive. I have tried power cycles and taking out the sata cable with ck3 off. nothing works. It just keeps saying, bad serial data or something. also, the ck3 probe will stay lit (bright green) after it touches anywhere near the r707 hole and will sometimes be dimly lit green before i touch it to anything at all.

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and if they resolved it in any way? Any responses would be appreciated thanks.

hmn I don't use any drivers for the jungle flasher part as it makes the system freeze. in iprep I've tried with onboard nvidia chipset and via and both work fine for dumping key of a flashed lite-on or any other drive, but i will try older drivers for the dos method and report back. oh and thanks for the reply

Try different depths of the tray when you push it in. I usually do about 1.5 inches or so.

how are u powering the ck3 and what are using to get the serial data with usb? or serial cable?

powering the probe with the ck3 lite its the one with the serial connection not the usb. I have tried so many different half in tray setups that I'm thinking its either the serial ports on my comp or the probe thats the problem. I even tried making my own probe because I had extra cables lying around and still no go. Like i said before I can dump and already flashed lite-on or any other drive just fine so I'll just try and buy a new probe and see if it helps. thanks for all replys much appreciated

You might try the probe with a different PC. I believe you can tie together pin 2 and 3 on your serial connection on the computer, open up terminal in Windows, and if you type something and it comes back, your connection is working properly. That would be one thing you could test before buying a new probe.
