I need help flashing a Lite-On drive well not really help but I was just wondering, do I need that CK3 tool to flash it or can it be done without it.

you dont need a ck3 to flash it ... a computer with the appropriate sata controller can flash it just fine.

Mmmmmmm is that so. SO why do alot of people use that whole CK3 artifact thingie. Now I have flashed my BenQ and my Hitachi fine with no problems, well cant seem to upgrade my Hitachi to 1.53 but thats another story. Is there a tutorial anywhere that shows me how to do it with me sata card.

CK3 is required for extracting the key from the drive... not for flashing it.
