quick question about ripping games from usb loader 1.5

im using the usb loader 1.5 to rip the games and play them. do i need to take them into my computer and patch them first and then reload them back on the usb card or are they already patched.

They don't need to be patched.

However I would recommend ripping already backed up games to your PC then use a program like WBFS Manager 3.0.1 to transfer the games from the PC to the USB Device. In my opinion it is so much more stable doing it that way rather then using the Wii drive itself (unless they are retail then it would be easier to do it via the Wii drive).

great. so i can rip to usb drive and then put my disc away and enjoy without patchin. what about games that try to update the system? am i free and clear of that also?

one more question. if i back up my mario kart wii can it be played online or only offline with the back up?

The USB Loader will rip game updates and garbage data from the disc when transfered. So the size of the game on the HDD will depend on the actual data size of the game itself.

As far as I know you can play online using the USB Loader.
