Hi every one, Is it possible to play backups DVd burned games without permanent installing of any software on the wii?
I have successfully installed the Wii Homebrew Launcher but don't know how to preceed.

Yes, you need cIOS and the WiiGator Backup Loader.

Both can be uninstalled. (Backup Loader isn't actually installed to the nand anyway)

The only way to play Wii backups without software is with a Hardmod (Modchip).

The only other option is a softmod and that uses Wiibrew to run the backups.

So, the softmod is permanent, and loading the Wii Homebrew Launcher from the sdcard is not a softmod.
Doing the softmod is installing the homebrew channel?

Either way you do it you are pretty much going to void your warranty. No matter if you hardmod or softmod you have a good chance that the Big N will not honor it.

So if you want to play backups then toss your warranty out the window. Yes Nintendo has honored some warranty's with a hardmod or a softmod but you should not count on it.

Softmoding your Wii system is allot more then just installing the Homebrew Channel. You need to install a cIOS (custom IOS) and use a backup launcher like WiiGator. Go HERE for more info on how to softmod your system.
