XBOX 360 Flashing Problem

I recently went to update my 360 firmware to ixtreme 1.6 from 1.51 and i ran into a problem. when i clicked the erase liton button in jungleflasher my computer froze. i rebooted and tried to access my drive but it is not reconized and does not responde to the eject switch also the folder my keys were in became corrupt. dont ask how cuz im still lost on that. is there any way to salvage my drive and get 1.6 on it?

I think without the drive key, it cant be fixed.
A VIA driver may have caused the freeze.

If I buy another liteon drive and replace the board with will that work or is the board and stuff complete toast? i read that the new drive has to have the same keys but all those were in relation to swaps of different drives. is the same true for same drives as well? or are the new keys of the new drive fine?

Your drive doesn't have any firmware on it, that is why it won't eject or respond. If you have the VIA S-ATA card, you need to remove the driver: viamraid.sys or vsmraid.sys at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers folder. Remove that and then reboot. Open up JF and then select the corresponding S-ATA port that your Lite-ON is connected to, and re-send the Lite-ON Erase command. Power Cycle when prompted and it should respond with good flash chip properties. Like the other member said, as long as you have your key (in this case the dummy.bin) you will be fine.

Edit: you need to double check your files to ensure that you have a good key and proper data (inquiry and identify). With out those, there is no recovering your XBOX. You need that specific Key and Info to get this XBOX working again.

If you don't have the key, this XBOX is a lost cause. I don't think the SPi chip can be read with an external programmer.
