Hi, Ive just flashed my mates Xbox 360 for him but I didn't check if it was the new NXE dashboard before i modded the drive to iextreme 1.6. Can I just play a backup wave 3 title to update it to the NXE Dashboard?

The answer is: YES.

I did the same this week to my chum's 360.

He was still running the Pre-NXE dashboard and when I popped in a backup of UFC, the dashboard updated to NXE.
