Hi every one!

First of all a semi-brick wii is when you can't access your settings on the wii system. (its good to see this website.)

I got my wii semi-bricked few days ago by the Waninoko 4.0 update...and therefore have a system 4.0E on an USA wii!!!

This method would NOT change x.xxE back to x.xxU or vice-versa...the only method that can do that is update by a Game CD update or DVD game update(or something) which has that x.xxU or x.xxU or others update...

This method would enable you to change the settings of your wii, like internet, wii connect24, change country, time, etc....

SO here it starts:

Requirements

R1) Wii which is 4.00 (i tryed it with a 4.00E, so i dont know if it works with other versions or other region. You can give you response if this method worked for other versions and other region) and i know this '(AnyRegion Changer)' will work for '3.3'.

R2) Home brew channel (aka HBC).

R3) SD which is require more then 512MB (depending if you do step S1). At least more then 32 MB SD card.

R4) Boot Mii (not realy importen, but it is good to keep a back up of the Nand in Step S1).

R5) AnyRegion Changer (wiki). I used this one which i used*.

*i can't be held responsible for using this method or this app. And this AnyRegion Changer 1.1 i got it from some website?!!

Steps

S1) Optional!!!
Run bootmii(start up the wii!) then press POWER buttion to move from the options till you get to the 3rd option from the left, and then press RESET to select that option and then press RESET to select the first option again and follow the instructions, then when finished, get back to the wii system.

Then in your SD card there will be 'nand.bin' file on the root which is a copy of the NAND of your wii. Keep this safe...If any thing goes wrong, you can recover by selecting the 2 option insted of selecting the first option to back up from the NAND in S1.

END OF OPTIONAL

S2) Then extract the AnyRegion Changer and copy it to the 'apps' folder in the SD card.

S3) Run HBC (Home brew channel).

S4) Start AnyRegion Changer in the HBC (Home brew channel).

S5) After few minites press '1' on the wii remote.

NOTE: Warning!
This homebrew makes permanent changes to your Wii's flash memory (NAND) and should be used with caution.

S6) ONLY change AREA, and GAME to what ever that region is by using '+ direction buttions' on the wii remote (for me its 4.00E, so both AREA, and GAME is Europe).

Note: you can see the version you have in this if you see the middle right of the screen.

S7) Then select the SAVE by bressing 'A' on the wii remote.

S8) After that press HOME buttion, and you will get to your wii system or HBC (Home brew channel).

That is IT

To check if it worked right you can go to the settings and if there is a web page saying "page is not found" or some thing. Than you did step S6 wrong!! But if it did worked then you can change the settings.

Note: Any one can use this info on there thread

Thanks alot for all of this..you know who i am talking about

Peace Man

By the way i found out that when you semi-brick the wii (change from U->E) then mario kart wii says that you need to have to start the game all over again(all previous achievement is lost!!!)....
