i already have a soft modded wii 3.4u and want to update it to 4.0. i want to know if its safe to do the system update then follow this guide

If you already have a cIOS, Homebrew Channel and Wiigator installed then all you should need to do is update to 4.0 via Wii server (like normal updating).

Then perform the EXTRA STEPS: section of the guide.

Specifically all you should have to do is update to 4.0 and run IOS60PATCH and if you want the Trucha Bug Exploit fixed then run the IOS Downgrader.
