Okay so i know a good hand full of knowledge about playing wii back ups and everything but im clueless about how to play gamecube back ups. I use usb loader channel for my wii back ups and i thought that i could possibly do the same for gamecube back ups, but my problem is, is that my back up is a .gcm file type. Im really unsure how to work with it. Please help and thanks!!

You can not play GC games with a USB Loader.

But to answer your question.

Just change .gcm to .iso and burn it like a normal ISO disc.

You can use WiiGator 0.3 Gamma to launch the GameCube games as long as you have installed cMIOS_rev3 which you can get off my guide HERE.

Keep in mind not all GameCube games are compatible. HERE is a compatibility list.

will compatibilty for GC games most likely increase over time or is that as good as it will get?

also, will they ever implement GC games launch from usb loader?

It will likely increase.

It increased from 0.1 Theta to 0.1 Xi and from 0.1 Xi to 0.2
There hasn't been another release since March.

And I'm sure they'll implement loading from the USB if they can.
I think I remember hearing that the biggest obstacle for this is that in Gamecube mode there is no access to Wii features.
Wii features such as the USB ports, Wifi, SD slot, the Wii Remote etc.
