So I bought this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:B:BCA:US:1123

It reads DVD's just fine but when I put a Wii disc in, it just spins, almost like the disc is dirty. I can hear it spool up several times, but after a minute or so the drive light turn off and thats all it does.

If I use rawdump it says I might have a faulty drive. When I try friidump it says retrieving disc seeds but the light drive never turns on and the drive seems inactive and of course the process fails.

I've assigned it to region 1 per some advice I've read, but nothing seems to help.

I disconnected the other dvd drive and pulled the jumper off this drive to remove any possible conflicts, but nothing seems to help.

I'm concerned since the drive light doesn't even come on during the retrieving disc seed process.

I have net framework 3.5 installed on Win XP Pro.

Any thought?

I'm totally frustrated.

Thanks in advance!

It plays regular DVD's fine. Could it read regular DVD's if something was wrong with the "Wii Game Reading" part of it? In other words, is it all or nothing or can it partly work and partly not?

So I changed games to Mario Super Slugger and the damn thing worked. The first two I tried were EA Active and Blazing Angels. Go figure. Any ideas what the problem could be with the first two?
