I am experiencing slowdown when playing backups . please help

Hi. I am having a problem with my PSP, specifically i'm experiencing a lot of slowdown with a few games. The game will run very slowly on certain cutscenes or when entering a new area/level and the memory stick icon will blink like crazy.

Here are some details.

PSP = PSP 2000
Memory = 4GB class 4 micro SD + memory stick pro duo adapter
FW = 5.00 M33-4
CPU CLOCK GAME (M33 VSH MENU) = 333/166
CPU CLOCK XMB (M33 VSH MENU) = 333/166
FILE SYSTEM = FAT 32
UMD MODE = Sony NP9660 -NO UMD-

I seem to be having the most problems with Daxter and GOW COO (which are about 1.2 gig files) . Any ideas?

Update to -6

Turn on the speed up memory card option

This has cured most slow downs for me!

update to 6?

do you mean update to a class 6 memorycard?

and how do you turn on the speed up memory card option?

Sorry no - update your firmware to 5.00 M33-6

This has an option in the recovery memory to speed up the memory card (that works) - I use a class 2 memory card and it works fine (even on GTA) Before I updated I had lots of games that lagged, I updated and turned on the option (to always) and all games seem to run fine now

another question. should i format my card using FAT instead of FAT 32?
