Upgrading to 1.6 from 1.5.1 Messed Up?

I modded 2 LiteOn drives a week ago for a friend and his buddy. Modded them to 1.51 and now they want to go to 1.6

I have their firmware files from when I ripped it from stock but I have 2 questions to ask before I mess something up:

1. If I accidentally mix up the firmwares between these 2 guys xboxes (give my friends firmware to his buddy and the buddy's firmware to my friend) the drives will work work obviously and all I have to do is switch them firmwares around? Is there any way that this would do irrepairable damage or cause a banning from Live? (Obv I will test before connecting to live though).

2. Do I just download the firmware pack 1.6 and then flash over the stock firmware files I already have saved to my computer to reflash? And I will need the latest JungleFlasher for this right?


Or is there a completely simplier way like using a 1.6 disc? I think I heard something about it but not too sure, if anyone can help before I try and mess something up please let me know ASAP.

No this won't cause banning problems. The XBOX 360 just won't play games. You'll put a game in and the XBOX will say "Put this in a XBOX 360 Console". At this point you will need to use the different firmware.

Actually, what you can do though is dump the dummy bin from ix1.51. Get the tray in half status, power cycle, and then go to the DVDkey32 tab. There is an option called "dummy from iXtreme" click that and you will get the proper dummy bin.

Download firwmare pack 1.6 (make sure the Lite-ON repack is in there) and put it into the firmware folder of JF. You might have to rename "ix16-liteon-repack.bin" to "ix16-liteon.bin".

Just use JF. It is very simple.
