I have my drive flashed with ixtreme 1.51 i can play ufc, x-men wolverine, etc but i burned prototype and it says i need to update my 360. Is there any way to get around it?

No. Even if it was a retail game you would get the update. It's a simple game update. There is nothing that can touch your firmware.
