I just installed boot mii throught the boot2 method, and i backed up my nand.

I did this because i wanted to update to the 4.0 system menu, im currently on 3.3U.

So the question is that if my wii bricks during the 4.0 update procedure, than can i restore my nand to unbrick my wii?

Its not a program I've used yet, but my understanding is when you backup your Nand all games saves, channels etc will be backed up as of that time.

if you reload your Nand for whatever reason you will only have back-up from the original date and any changes to game saves from that date on will be lost unless you regularly back them up to SD card in between.

It also seems to be important to 'verify' your Nand once backed up which should only take a couple of minutes.

You also have installed via Boot 2 which is the most robust back-up route on Bootmii so it looks like your good to go.

Your understanding is right.
