Hey

Sorry if this has been answered bfore, but im at the end of my tether

ok here goes, my Xbox (am in the uk) does not play the regionless backups i make on the media i put them on (DVD mirror platinum -R)

neither will it play them on DataWrite -R (not sure which particular type of disc) which im told has like a deeper die in it or something so it should play

now heres where it gets confusing backups that my friend makes on datawrite grey work perfect on my XBox. Confused yet? i am

i am not sure about my friends method but i use cloneDVD and AnyDVD they are regionless, region scriptless etc u know what the driver does

anyway i have no idea what the problem could be they should work shouldent they?

and i apoligise for posting this first in the XBox Forum (it dident get answered in there) it was quite a while back. i have assumed that it was the wrong place, so i dident repost it there

but this is really getting me down i have no idea of how to get it to work

please anybody with any input at all will be very welcome to post, i need all the advise i can get on this particular area

if i havent said some information u need to help me plz tell me and ill tell you what u need to know

and & all help is greatly appreciated

I burn my dvd's with Stomp Record Now Max and never had a problem yet playing in my X-box. I used Ritek media. If your using Nero to burn your dvd's, there is a check box for X-box compatible burn.

Just to add to the topic:
I've used TDK DVD+R's and DVDXCopy Platinum to make backups and they always work in the Xbox, and every other player I have tried so far. I have a Benq DW400a with the bit setting set for DVD-Rom... I have to yet find a player that won't play my discs.

I tried Maxell & my X-Box said I did not have a suported media or a x-box game in the drive.

I've got something close to LoNeR but with a twist. I'm using DVD Decripter and DVD Shrink on two computers. Both are 98se. I burn on one computer and the disks play on all my players, I burn on the other and they play on all but the xbox. My buddy is using the same setup and his work on xbox but not his home player. Any ideas? Using Digital Matrix 4X +r's.
