my mate has a starview the box,has a problem getting channels,how can you get whatever channels are available back on a starview the box,all channels seem to be gone,just updating all the time, about six or seven channels only on it, any help appreciated,

if you have only the free channels and the box is constantly trying to update but getting nowhere then you have 2 options,you can update the firmware to the latest version(there are 4 or 5 versions of starview,star view original.the box,the box super and the usb version,the firmware is not the same for all)also you have starview clones how to tell a clone is(look on top of the box at the vents,18 vents =clone and 25 vents= original)very important to ensure you have the correct firmware and loader for your box(they are all here in the download section)option 2 is manual input of codes,this is easy but the best thing to do is update the firmware(no need to enter codes then)good luck.

try doing a set default key,menu1570-set default key and exit out,seen a few of them today.

thanks again.a friend sorted it,the set default knocked all the channells off in the first place. the channels were all found but there was no picture or sound ?only about ten channells were coming in.thanks poipat and cactikid

Does anyone have the frequency codes for starview the box ? As im only getting 10 channels at the moment in living in Dublin

Try doing a factory reset and switch off at the back and back on then doa scan.

Don't think so. I have one in another room and I'm also in dub and no probs other than the normal.

Are all the channels working on your box cos I only have 10 channels on mine, if yours works can you tell me wot the frequency code is for Sky Premier???

which starview do you have is it the 1 / 2 /3 or the usb 4 one
if its the usb 4 there is a fix for that if ist any of the others there's no fixes for them check out the link below

you just press 1570 nothing comes up on the screen,that should take you to the secret menu and then turn keycode on.
