hey hooter,
tried that updated usb file and i lost all the channels i gained.
Still missing bb*,rt* etc and alot of channels still showing no signal detected on them.
Would the fact the cable going into the box may not be a live feed, be a big factor then?

no the cable should be going direct into the box no splitters follow my last post and get what channels you lost after you do a manual scan then do an automatic scan and you should only be missing 1 or 2 channels also make sure the other end of your cable is screwed into the wall port propper.

Hey hooter..Thanks for all the advice and help but I just cannot get your channel file to work down here.Loaded it straight after the manual scan as you advised.Key was already on ..Black screen on all channels. hit default key and black screen on all channels. Turned key code off and then back on again ....No Joy.. Looks like I will just have to be happy with what I got from the manual scan. Must be a waterford problem

Cable is going straight into the box, im just wondering if maybe the box is a clone and thats why bb*,rt* are not showing a signal.
I do appreciate all the help so far and if there is anything else that i might be doing wrong or could do differently,then please let me know as it is getting close to pulling the hair out time!

sorry i couldent help more but do an automatic and manual scan after you press set default key and keycode is on.

sorry mooley for crossing each other, but this is the 1 from eamos library its the same 1 as mine only its in a rar file and you have to open/extract it and then put it on your usb stick heres eamos 1 sorry have to log off now and be made a show of bu my son on his x.box good nite

I'm getting pretty bad pixellation on nearly every channel on an original SV4. I have tried the n*l box and it's fine on all channels. Could this be a bad tuner in the SV4?

Hi guys.
just got my new sv4 usb. when i installed software and done scan, i only got about six stations. comd 1, rt 1, comd centrl, ect.. rest of stations have a dollar sign beside them. has any one else had this result. pls help, thanks

scouser which is the best signal booster to get from maplins for n*l in the uk any ideas for my my low signal problem

i know you asked scouser this question but i have an
antiference 4 rooms signal booster model no = A1400R, very good reception in every room, but you can get a cheaper 1 depends on how many rooms you want to boost up.
ps: my area had a bad reception on n*l.

If you are sure you have a low signal problem, use this booster from Argos. It may look on the cheap side, but has variable gain control and does the job nicely. I have found this better than the yellow Konig in certain areas. You will find it here
The Maplins SLX booster is over priced.

using a booster box, cable running in directly to SV. never had a problem with the old SV. its not a major deal, would be nice to have them tho esp for recording, but can always get them direct on the tv. the screen is just black on them channels, not coming up with any errors or no signal etc. keycode is on and set default key.

did you do a factory reset when you put the bete firmware on? answer should be yes!
i think you should look at the cable wire itself check the cable connectors at each end and make sure none of the copper strands are touching the cable if they are the screw on type, you may have to open it to check, but be carefull
also now that you have pressed set default key, delete the channels 1 by 1 that are'nt working make sure you dont delete all of your channels, and then do a manuall scan
