Alright, so I'm pretty new to wii homebrew. My overall goal here was to just get the sd/usb loader (loads backup wii games) working. However, I don't have a cios. So I went out to get the cios installer, got the .wad I needed and put it on the root, and ran the installer. It looked like it was working for a few seconds until it said "Installing ticket... ERROR! ret = 2011" or something like that. I google the problem and I don't know what any of the stuff they're talking about means, so I look for an alternative and see Patchmii, so I download that. Got another error "ret = 4011" this time. So I thought I might just need to downgrade the wii firmware so I got the firmware downgrader and for some reason that got an error too.

I've googled these problems like I said and either they're not answering my questions or I just don't know what's going on. All I want is to play Mario Galaxy. Can anyone help me sort this issue out?

Just for other readers. If you are having issues installing a CIOS from wad then try the network setting in the update program (if available) That always gets it going for me. For some reason I also have trouble installing IOS from WAD.
