Hi
Can anyone help me by letting me know which firmware to use to flash this device called THE BOX?

providing its not a clone and not The Box Super or Super USB
then its v4.57 you need. CLick below and open the folder called "The box". you'll find what you need in there.

if when you turn it on it says the box then thats what it is and it will have the box on the front of device

when i download chanels t dose this ok but doesnot descramble the pay channels??? it did b4 but now it will not??? looked at settings but keeps defualting to NTL when in the one you select your provider.

There was no the box clones AFAIK, could be wrong but almost certain

if your in ireland thats probably all that box will get if in uk have u pressed menu 1 5 7 0 and turned emu on if not do it

no not in Irland , the channels load up but in the nagravision it keeps defalting to NTL when my provider is telewest, it says on screen loading data please waite but then when it reaches 100% it just stops there and nothing happens!!!my emu is itched on but still no channels on the pay channels?

it should stay at 100 and then knock off and reboot press menu 1570 and set default key and exit back out if that doesnt work press menu down to syst info press ok see what version you have

i think wat your saying does not work up that part of the country i might be wrong now !!!!!!! try 2 find cathaldub and he will guide you through it more k bud :):):):)

If you are on chorus Ireland you still get all the channels
Dont go into the nagravision menu.(theres no need unless your on an old firmware)
Just follow these instructions
1.factory reset, press ok delete channels
2.scan on telewest/NTL or whoever your provider is, goto a channel
3.press menu 1570
4.turn key emu on
5.press ok on set default key(you might only have to do this option)
6.goto a channel and wait for update(you may need to power off/on box(sky two updates quickest in ireland for some reason)

Follow my exact instructions above, you dont need to go into the nagravision menu

Shouldnt make any odds where your located,
Just select the firmware, select com port and select donload.
use the latest GT ROM think its 4.03 but dont quote me on that.
By Factory reset I mean press menu, select factory setting, and press ok to delete

no nothing happend any differewnt when I folowed your instructions!it seems to be hanging up when it is looking for the sky channels!!!just get the messege (info updataing data) then hangs up on different percentiges, I can wait ms or hours but stil says same when on scrambled channel?

Does the percentage move at all?
try it on different channels SkyTwo, Discovery Turbo, etc
look at the signal bar on each channel and leave it on one with the most blocks full

yes the percentages move it some times goes to 160% but then itseem to hang up on there? done it with other chanels and still does not de-scramble any channels? at a compleate loss at the moment with it?

Have you clicked on "set default key" before turning on key code?
Sometimes it can take a while to update ...as in....i have seen them take a few hours....be patient leave it update and walk away for a while. SHould work at that.

The question should be did it flash correctly? Look in system info and post what it says please.
