Did you happen to click erase firmware? Try the drive in the XBOX 360 and see what it does.

Could you have plugged the power cable in upside down? That will fry drives.

If you aren't able to retrieve the key, you don't need to price shop for a DVD drive... You need to price shop for a new XBOX 360.

I'm afraid he's right... your xbox's light is blinking in the middle right? then i suggest you wait on a "programmer" to get the key out of the dvd drive might take some time i guess a year or so or you can start to save for a new console :D

I'm, Sorry i can't be much of a help to you

Good luck

By the way i think your fried your drive....

i told you the most i did was hook the drive up to my toshiba satellite http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...d=1218040477075 that i bought a couple months ago. after i plugged it it in my son wanted to play on the 360 i didnt even get a chance to open jungle flasher so i stopped what i was doing and put the dvd drive back in the xbox 360 now all i get is my dashboard saying opening and the green light in the middle of the power button is blinking with no response from the drive..

Well something has happened here. The blinking green light in the middle is usually a sign of no firmware on the drive. If you didn't even run JF, the only thing I can think of was the plug was upside down. Even though you confirmed you didn't do that. Maybe take the drive apart and check the inside to make sure there isn't any burn signs.

If the firmware is gone, it is an expensive paper weight. Go ahead and reconnect the drive and open up JF and see if you can get a response from the drive.
