so i formatted the hard drive into two partitions
i used WBFS to format one of the drives then loaded a game on it

the problem i am having is No USB Device found.
then it asks me to retry for 30 seconds and i can click on cl0249 or cl05222 or back to wii menu

whats wrong?! i followed the steps for this usb loader in the directions that are stickeyed on the top of the forum.

when i format the new partition we will call it drive W from here on out

do i have to format it a special way?

i format it with windows using NTFS then go into WBFS manager 3.0 and format it with WBFS manager then when i look at the drive in my computer it says its corrupted

i just tried formatting it to FAT32 or whatever and same thing after i format with WBFS the partition becomes corrupt when i try to open it with my computer

ALSO i am adding the games using WBFS manager 3.0
i am assuming the problem is something with my usb connection to the wii

Windows will not be able o understand the WBFS so just ignore. Your HDD should be primary, FAT32 before converting to WBFS.

As fiber32 said format it FAT32 not NTFS before formating it to WBFS.

When you connect the USB device to the PC it will say the drive needs formated choose NO (DO NOT FORMAT IT). Now start up WBFS Manager and add your games (Just remember you will get that error message every time you connect the USB device to your PC. Just choose NO when it ask if you want to formating it).

I had the same problem, but it turned out to be a miniscule thing and because of it I was having the same problem you did, as far as my wii not reading my hdd. the solution for me was, making sure the hdd was powered on before the wii. Hope this helps you.... So make sure you turn on the hdd first then turn your wii on...
