i thought a non-technical thread would be a nice break for everyone, and then i saw on xbox live marketplace, a new golf course available for purchase for tiger woods 10 even though it just came out today.now obviously this course wasnt constructed in real-life after the game was made so what gives? to me this is worse than the RE5 dlc coming out so soon after launch because this is the same day as launch! is this what the future holds?-only getting part of the game for $60 then buying the rest the same day?
haha doesn't suprise me they'll try anything to squeeze a few extra bucks out of you, but yeah i do think its kinda bs, then again though do you realllllly need that extra content? something like the grand theft auto dlc i could understand buying, because it adds a whole new story and missions to the game. but if its something small like a new level and its really not gonna add new features or anything i dont see a point in bothering. but then again for levels for halo 3 are worthy of buying if your playing on xbox live, but they should drop the price on some of the stuff, i mean seriously $13 dollars for 3 new levels, and if you dont buy them then you cant play in a lot of games online. i just bought the mythic map pack(which was stupid) and unless you play in the certain mythic matchmaking game, it doesnt even use the levels, and everytime a new map pack comes out they usually make the one that came out before it free. it all just comes down to making more money from you. and there is people out there that HAVE to have every little add on that comes out for a game, so if people are buying the stuff, it wouldnt make sense not to do it.
Yeah, it's bull crap. No way should you have to pay more for a game you already own. Heck, COD turns almost into a $100 game after they release a few map packs. Of course, you don't have to buy them, but you miss out everything.
i really have no problem buying map packs because typically by the time they come out im super sick of the ones that come on the disk. but 600 points for one golf course seems high, especially for one that was on the disk in previous years. i guess im just surprised they would try this with a less than blockbuster title right after the heat that capcom got for the RE5 dlc.
The game is out pretty early for download now. I have to disagree unless the download was a huge addition like the gears pack coming out. Paying $12 for 3 maps isn't real fair. Remember COD4 mappack? What a joke that was! You got three maps and one was only for 1 vs 1. so you really only got chinatown and creek for $12.00

Yeah i agree with this too, i've never ever bought any DLC, it seems its just another excuse to release an unfinished game and expect people to shell out the extra $$$, its all about the $$$ to Microsoft
