Hi,

New to the scene, just wondered if it was safe to softmod a wii with a LU3096 serial number.

Any information you can give me would be a great help, I don't want to brick my wii.

Make sure you fully understand the guides and you should safely be able to softmod your Wii.

My Geneal rules are:
1)Never remove an IOS, just overwrite it.
2)Always make sure you update with correct region firmware.
3)Never update from a disc
4)Let someone else test new homebrew and wait for them to say its OK (bit selfish but sensible)
5) If everything is working don't get tempted to update for the sake of it, only update if a new feature will enhance your Wii (updated to 4.0 myself to get SD card memory capacity).
6) Try to find time in between modding to actually play some games (this is difficult modding can become compulsive).
