Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly happens if you get banned for playing backups. I have heard that the console will no longer be able to connect to live but is my gamertag and hard drive safe? If my console gets banned can I put my harddrive in another console and connect? Also is it safe to play 3rd wave games online with 1.51, or do I HAVE to upgrade to 1.6
When you are banned, your console will no longer be able to connect to Live.
Your gamertag and hard drive will be fine and you can use them on another console to access Live.
Yes, it's safe (as safe as you can possibly be) to play 3rd wave game using 1.51. However, it's recommended that you update to 1.6 for future security reasons. If you have a Hitachi drive, 1.51 is the latest.
The 1.61 version is not bann proof, i know this, but are many people playing on live with backups and downloaded games? Im always thinking twice about playing these backups and downloaed games on live
Guesswho, youve been playing on live w backups even before 1.61. Or have u started playing backups on live exclusively with 1.61? I wonder when the day will come when a modded 360 is fail-safe. Guesswho, seeing your a senior member, can i ask you how fail-safe do you think a modded 360 is with 1.61 and with backups being checked and fixed thru abgx?
