Game Plays As A Dvd When I Insert It In 360

Ive had no problems burning backups up until now.
I have two games that fail to play:
-UFC undisputed
-Sacred 2
Ive tried using CloneDVD to burn the .dvd file. (this is the method that i always use)
After it finishes burning and I put it into my 360, it recognizes it as a DVD. It says "Play DVD" instead of "Play Game"
Ive tried Imgburn and manually set the layer break to 1913760, then burned the iso directly. Its still recognizing the games as DVD's.
So i put the discs back into my PC and inside there are folders "AUDIO_TS" , "VIDEO_TS" and "$SystemUpdate"
I don't recall seeing this "$SystemUpdate" folder on any other of my backups that work.
I have ixtreme 1.6. UFC and Sacred 2 are new games-maybe that has something to do with it?

Wave 3 games that were injected with Wave2, ix1.6 won't play these games any more! try getting another copy of those games

Will they play on ixtreme 1.51? and what do you mean by getting another copy of them? If one doesnt work, why would another one work?

use imgburn at 2.4x and use agbx360 to create the .dvd file you. Post results. All other games working? Might be your laser.

tried that. doesnt change anything. Its not the laser because other backups and originals work.

Does abgx say its wave 3? Try burning the one time boot disc and see if that works, the copies you got might be injected with wave 2 and thats why they won't play.

From that there is no reason why the game shouldn't play. Thats the same copy I used. So its either your laser or FW. does it play any other Wave 3 games?
Also, what type of drive do you have?

I don't exactly have a list of wave 3 games but it plays Resident evil 5 and GH:metallica. my 360 has a lite-on drive.

I think it has something to do with this weird "$SystemUpdate" folder.
Is that supposed to be on the disc when i burn it? All my other working backups dont have that folder. Why is it there?

It updates your system in order to play the game. But if your system already has the update, which I believe is the NXE dashboard, then you won't even notice it being there.
Did you flash your drive of did someone else?

I had the same exact problem, games like UFC, Prototype and Red Faction were only appearing as dvds in my 360 not games. Turns out I had version 1.51 Ixtreme instead of 1.6, I updated and now they all work fine, playing UFC right now infact, good game.

Having a lite-on doesn't tell you that you have 1.6 . There is still 1.51 for lite-ons and I believe earlier, but not sure about that.
Point is, if you didn't get the repack but instead had the original release, it was the BETA version and might not work with all games.

Someone else. I have a friend that has 1.51. do you think the games will work on his xbox?

It should. See if you can get it flashed again with the repack to make sure that you have good fw. If its been flashed once you don't need the probe so if you have the original files(I always recommend getting them from the person who flashed it) you can do it yourself pretty easily.

I got it like the 2nd day it came out so its the original 1.6 i guess.

Did you get the original files with it? You can flash it yourself to make sure its the repack. That could be your problem.

Im going to test the games on my friends system tomorrow. If it works on his 1.51, then there is a ixtreme issue on my system. Ill take steps to get it updated from there.

im having the same problem with Velvet Assassin. I extract it with schtrom and burn it with XBC using immgburn. But XBC says its not stealth and it acts like a DVD movie when i put it in the 360 WTF?
